DAAS GDPR
Compliancy

How to stay GDPR compliant with DAAS

Is the (mobile) device privacy policy in your organisation in line with GDPR? The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is extremely important for the processing of personal data. Organisations are obliged to take the necessary measures to optimally secure personal data. Is your device policy already GDPR compliant?

With today's remote working, everyone wants to have access to organisation apps and data from anywhere. It is therefore essential that your organisation is protected against data leaks. With DAAS you have all the tools needed to be in line with GDPR.

Clear distinction between business and
private data

A large proportion of employees also use their business phone or laptop for personal use. In such cases, it is important that there is a clear distinction between private and business data. After all, you don't want sensitive information to be sent using a personal, unsecured e-mail address. With DAAS, you have all the tools needed to make a clear separation between the two.

Data protection with theft or loss of the device

Compute devices are often a target of theft and so are business phones, tablets and laptops. As an organisation you don't want your business information to fall into the wrong hands. With DAAS, you can easily block mobile devices remotely and delete business data. This way, no data leaks occur, even if a device is stolen or lost.

Overview in access management

With DAAS, it is easy to determine which device has access to certain apps and business files. This simplifies choosing which access level is appropriate for each type of user. Repeated false login attempts are detected and blocked. The GDPR rule is thus checked off: only people who are authorised to do so are granted access to privacy-sensitive personal data.

More control over mobile applications

Because employees also use their business devices for personal use, it is important that you prevent them from installing untrustworthy apps. DAAS allows you to control which applications are downloaded and which are not.

Protection against malicious networks

With mobile phones, tablets and laptops, you can work in a different location than the office: at home, on the go or at an external customer. And this is where most attacks happen. An open WiFi network can be a major security risk. A hacker can enter this network and get in between the user and the WiFi network. The hacker gains access to all information sent to the internet: confidential e-mails, log-in data and other important information. Once the hacker has gathered this information, he can easily log in using the user's credentials. This is a situation you should avoid. DAAS includes services which ensure that (mobile) devices are protected against these kinds of attacks.

GDPR-proof disposal of devices

When a device is end-of-life or an employee leaves an organisation, the remaining data on the device needs to be handled carefully. This is a time-consuming job, but with DAAS you don't have to worry about it. With our Device as a Service solution, we ensure that devices are disposed of in a GDPR-proof manner. This way, end-of-life devices can still be safely reused by different organisations.
