VMware vSAN.

VMware vSAN is a crucial component of an HCI environment and, with VxRail, forms the foundation of a perfect out-of-the-box solution. When used in combination with vSphere, this storage virtualisation software provides centralised management of computing and storage components. It consolidates all data storage devices into a single storage pool which all hosts in the vSAN cluster use together. vSAN makes external shared storage superfluous and simplifies the storage configuration and provisioning of virtual machines.
