Bechtle acquires Wide Technology Partners

Specialist for Cisco technologies to reinforce Bechtle Schweiz AG
Expansion of Bechtle’s Managed Services portfolio

Neckarsulm/Baar ZG, 13 January 2020 – Bechtle acquires Wide Technology Partners AG with retroactive effect from 1 January 2020. Headquartered in Baar, in the Swiss canton of Zug, the IT service provider currently has 20 employees in Switzerland and also maintains a branch office in Vietnam. In the 2018 fiscal year, Wide recorded some 4.3 million Swiss francs in revenues. First established in 2006, the company is a renowned solutions provider in the fields of networking, data centre, voice and security with a focus on Cisco products. The Wide staff will bolster Bechtle Schweiz AG’s professional services segment under the management of previous owner and managing director, Reza Kordi.

The company’s core strengths include managed services for Cisco solutions, delivered by certified specialists and across two time zones. Wide’s employees boast several seals of excellence, including the coveted CCIE R&S (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Routing & Switching) certification—the highest-level certification for planning, installing, configuring and operating complex IP network infrastructures. The terms of the acquisition see all of Wide’s employees switch to Bechtle Schweiz AG, where they will join its Professional Services unit.
