Bechtle AG continued its success story in the third quarter of 2016. From July to September, the revenue increased 6.4 per cent to €730.0 million. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) went up 5.9 per cent to €35.2 million. Earnings before taxes (EBT) climbed 9.4 per cent to €36.3 million. The EBT margin thus reached 5.0 per cent (prior year: 4.8 per cent). As of 30 September 2016, Bechtle had a total of 7,645 employees, 491 (6.9 per cent) more than in the prior year.

Neckarsulm, 2 November 2016 – Bechtle is acquiring C-CAM GmbH in Chemnitz, Germany, a move that will further bolster its business in design applications for the manufacturing industry. C-CAM, which currently has 20 employees, specialises in CAD, CAM and PDM software. It will continue operating under the C-CAM name as a subsidiary of SolidLine AG, which itself joined the Bechtle Group in 2011. The acquisition will reinforce SolidLine’s presence in the eastern part of Germany. Christian Popp, who has led C-CAM up until now, will remain the company’s managing director. Both parties to the transaction have agreed to keep the acquisition price confidential.

Neckarsulm, 11 August 2016 – In the second quarter of 2016, the revenue of Bechtle AG increased 5.4% to €723.4m. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) underwent a disproportionately high growth of 21.0% to €32.3m. Earnings before taxes (EBT) amounted to €32.1m, and the EBT margin was 4.4% (prior year: 3.9%). As of 30 June 2016, the headcount had gone up to a total of 7,328 employees, a year-on-year increase of 390 people or 5.6%.

Bechtle has entered a partnership with Frankfurt-based e-shelter to enable the long-term operation of its own data centre at the largest data centre campus in Europe. In the coming months, Bechtle will transfer the majority of its internal IT systems from its headquarters in Neckarsulm to e-shelter sites in Frankfurt. The systems will continue to be owned and operated by Bechtle. This dual-site strategy guarantees optimal security, scalability and high availability. In addition, the relocation enables Bechtle to gain direct access to the DE-CIX internet exchange point, further enhancing the technical foundation to deliver comprehensive hosting and cloud services for our customers.

Bechtle AG has reinforced its operations in Switzerland with Steffen Informatik AG. Established in 1989, Steffen Informatik is firmly anchored in the Swiss market and today employs some 120 people at five offices. In the most recent fiscal year, the IT provider generated revenues of over CHF 35 million. The company will retain all of its four managing directors, as well as its name, which is a renowned brand in the Swiss market. Bechtle and Steffen Informatik share similar organisational structures, portfolios and regional coverage—through which they aim to unlock synergies. They also complement each other in terms of customer focus, joining forces to support a broad customer base ranging from SMBs to large enterprise and public-sector clients.

Sandra Stegmann has been newly elected to the Supervisory Board of Bechtle AG. A renowned expert in technology, commerce and corporate strategy, Ms Stegmann succeeds Dr Walter Jaeger, who has stepped down from the Supervisory Board after eight years, citing personal reasons. Yesterday’s AGM elected Ms Stegmann with 99.68 percent of the votes.

Bechtle AG has gotten off to an excellent start in the 2016 fiscal year. Revenue was up 13.2 percent to €704.9 million in the period from January to March, driven by IT solutions for mobility, state-of-the-art data centre architectures and IT security. EBT came to €26.9 million in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase of nearly 20 percent. The EBT margin climbed to 3.8 percent, starting the year off high. As at 31 March 2016, the headcount totalled 7,269, which is 598 employees or 9.0 percent more than in the prior-year period.

Bechtle AG now offers customers its own financing solutions through Bechtle Financial Services AG, a subsidiary that was acquired as CSS AG last year and has been fully integrated into the Group. This is the first time Bechtle has expanded its IT solutions portfolio to include product and project financing provided by the Group itself. Headquartered in Berlin, Bechtle Financial Services AG has been authorised as a financing and consulting firm by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

Bechtle today announced it has received the 2015 EMC Solution Provider Partner of the Year Award for the overall EMEA region from EMC Corporation for its significant revenue growth. This is the second year running Bechtle has received the exclusive recognition. In addition, the Germany-based IT and services provider was honoured with EMC’s EMEA Global Service Delivery Award for its delivery excellence and service booking growth in 2015.

Bechtle-Comsoft is expanding its partnership with Snow Software, the world’s leading developer of software asset management (SAM) solutions, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Through this partnership, which was established in 2015, Bechtle-Comsoft provides hosted SAM solutions by Snow Software in Germany and Switzerland, thereby meeting customer demand for simple, quick implementation of long-term SAM solutions. Expansion plans for the partnership include bringing managed SAM solutions (SAM365) based on Snow technology to Bechtle’s data centres in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and Regensdorf, Switzerland.

Bechtle’s Competence Days once again drew crowds of visitors, with a record-breaking 2,500 customers attending the event at Bechtle headquarters on 6 and 7 April. In addition to more than 70 presentations by Bechtle experts, live demos and one-on-one discussions gave attendees insight into the opportunities of future-ready technology. The keynote speaker, Dr Gunter Dueck, presented an absorbing—and equally entertaining—assessment of the importance of digitisation in the business world.

Bechtle AG has once again proven its prowess with an impressive 2015 fiscal year. The Group’s above-average growth resulted in additional market share and solidified its position as Germany’s leading B2B IT service provider. Revenue climbed almost 10 percent to €2,831.3 million in the reporting period. Earnings before taxes (EBT) surged by more than 20 percent to €129.4 million, leading to an outstanding EBT margin of 4.6 percent. The dividend is expected to increase for the sixth year in a row, from €1.20 to €1.40.

Bechtle AG increased its workforce by 633 in 2015, bringing the total headcount to 7,205. Bechtle AG’s headcount and revenue thus grew in sync at a rate of over 9 percent. Personnel growth took place exclusively in Germany, with the lion’s share—419 employees—going to the company’s service business. More than two-thirds of added staff were new hires, while 202 highly qualified specialists joined the Group following the acquisitions of Modus Consult AG, CSS AG and Tritec GmbH in 2015.

Bechtle AG has entered into yet another cooperation agreement, this time with Data#3 Limited in Australia. The Brisbane-based company was founded in 1977 and employs over 1,100 people at 14 locations throughout Australia and Tasmania. Last year it generated a total revenue of AUD 870.5m, which equals approximately EUR 557m. Data#3 is the second partner to represent Bechtle in Australia, joining Lexel Systems Ltd., who is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, and has been a GITA member since 2014. Bechtle will continue to partner with Lexel in New Zealand.

One of Germany’s leading specialists in SharePoint solutions, Bechtle subsidiary HanseVision, has partnered with Webtop, the creator of Wizdom. As a result, the most successful intranet solution for Office 365 and SharePoint in Northern Europe is now available in Germany for the first time. HanseVision will provide customers with consulting and implementation services for Wizdom projects, the first of which are already under way.

Bechtle AG has forged two new partnerships in Latin America as part of its Global IT Alliance. The first partner, Compucentro, is headquartered in Mexico City. Founded in 1989, it employs some 150 people and earned $45m in revenue in 2015. Bechtle’s second new partnership is with Brazilian firm Microware, established in 1984. In 2015 the IT service provider, which has offices in Brasilia, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, generated approximately $50m with 130 employees serving customers throughout the country.

According to preliminary figures, Bechtle AG is looking back on another year of dynamic growth. Revenue has increased by some 9.5% from €2.58bn to around €2.82bn. This growth has been supported in almost equal measure by both the IT System House & Managed Services and IT E-commerce segments. EBT rose at an even higher rate of approximately 20% to an expected €129m (previous year: €107.4m). The EBT margin improved from 4.2% in the previous year to around 4.6%.
