Neckarsulm, 15 October 2018 – Bechtle AG has successfully issued a Schuldschein loan of 300 million euros on the capital market. The Schuldschein has an average duration of 7.5 years and was offered with a fixed or variable rate of interest. The high level of demand has led to a considerable oversubscription of the order book. As a result, the total volume could be raised from an initial 200 million to 300 million euros. With a total of more than 140 national and international investors, a large number of capital providers participated in the transaction. Bechtle will be using the issue first and foremost to finance recent acquisitions Inmac Wstore in France and BT Stemmer in Germany.
“In a highly competitive capital market environment with numerous parallel transactions, we’ve succeeded in taking out a Schuldschein loan with very attractive conditions. This underlines the trust investors have in our business model and Bechtle’s positive and sustainable business development,” says Dr Thomas Olemotz, CEO of Bechtle AG.
The transaction was supported by the BayernLB, Commerzbank and Landesbank Baden-Württemberg LBBW (technical lead) banks. This is Bechtle AG’s first Schuldschein loan. “Bechtle’s high profile and corporate creditworthiness, which is very good from a market point of view, ensured extremely stable order demand, while around 140 different investors made for unusually high distribution. All in all, a highly successful debut transaction,” according to a mutual evaluation of the three banks involved.
