The Challenge.
Starkey UK faced significant challenges with their aging printers, which no longer met the needs of the business. Additionally, the IT team experienced declining support from their existing supplier. They needed a partner who could deliver a robust solution with a focus on support and account management, and who had the knowledge and experience in print to recommend the most appropriate hardware and software for their individual requirements. A critical requirement for this project was to ensure that the new equipment was delivered and installed simultaneously with the removal of the old devices to avoid any downtime.
The Solution.
The team at Bechtle worked closely with Starkey UK to establish the most appropriate solution. After receiving data on printer numbers and print volumes, Bechtle’s Document Solutions team created an initial proposal and presented it onsite. This face-to-face discussion allowed for fine-tuning the solution to meet the exact requirements. The solution provided included HP fully managed print along with MyQ printer management for secure release and scan. An audit of print volume data and discussions on security and reporting needs were conducted to ensure the solution was fit for purpose. The Document Solutions team at Bechtle also arranged an online demo of the MyQ software for the IT team to see its functionality in person, prior to commitment. With the risk of downtime a concern for Starkey, some of the printers were setup in an external workshop to minimise the mount of time onsite, thus reducing downtime during the switchover process. The printers were also unboxed and configured as part of the solution, with all packaging removed and recycled to reduce the impact on Starkey UK.
The new printers were fit for purpose based on Starkey’s usage and requirements. The key benefit was the MyQ software, which reduced the amount of administration and touchpoints from Starkey UK’s IT department. As a result, this now requires little to no intervention from Starkey, freeing up valuable time and resources. Going forward, HP will be servicing the printers, with Bechtle providing first-line support for the software. The Document Solutions team managed the logistics and implementation for this project, making the replacement of the printing solution very easy for Starkey.
The whole process was simple and efficient. The setup team were very knowledgeable and made the install easy, and there was no disruption for our production teams.

Starkey approached Bechtle looking for a partner who could provide a fully managed print solution with a strong emphasis on ownership and account management. Utilising our strong partnerships with the major hardware and software suppliers, Bechtle put forward a strong HP solution utilising the MyQ secure release system for low touchpoint and powerful print management. Our pre-sales and implementation team remained close to Starkey throughout the process and continue to do so for escalations, adding value on a day to day basis.
