Microsoft License and price changes for on-premises server products starting in July 2025.

Starting in July 2025, Microsoft will implement changes to the licensing and pricing for on-premises server products.

Availability and Requirements

Exchange Server Subscription Edition and Skype for Business Server Subscription Edition will be generally available from July 2025.
Customers will need active Software Assurance (SA) or cloud subscription licenses for all users and devices.

Pricing Changes

Prices for standalone on-premises server products will increase by 10%.
Prices for the Core CAL Suite and Enterprise CAL Suite will increase by 15% and 20%, respectively.
These changes will take effect on July 1, 2025, and will only apply to on-premises versions.

Microsoft 365 Apps and Windows 10 end of support.

Microsoft have announced that they will continue to provide security updates for the Microsoft 365 Apps running on Windows 10 for three years after Windows 10 reaches end of support in October 2025.

The Accelerate with Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5 15% Annual Term CSP promotions have both been extended to 30^th September 2025.

Dynamics 365 Business Central Price Increases.

Microsoft have announced that prices for Dynamics 365 Business Central will increase from 1^st October, 2025. A device licence increases from $40 to $45 per user per month, the Essentials licence from $70 to $80, and the Premium licence from $100 to $110. At the same time, the amount of storage accrued with each licence is being increased too.
