Volunteering Days.
Recently it was national volunteering week, so we thought we would share the amazing volunteering that has been going on across our Bechtle locations. All Bechtle employees can take one day per year to volunteer, so let’s find out what they have been getting up to.
Chippenham’s Return to the local Animal Shelter.
On Wednesday 24th September we are joining forces with our friends at HP to give back to our furry friends at the Coppershell Animal Rescue Centre. They have over 160 Residents living at the Sanctuary at any given time – all with varying care requirements. Cows (and bulls), chicken, sheep, goats, turkeys, ducks, guinea pigs, dogs, cats, pigs and even alpaca! There is lots to get stuck into.
Northampton Volunteers Support Animals in Need Rescue Centre.
Recently our Northampton team spent a day at Animals in Need, a wonderful rescue centre based in Northampton that provides care and shelter for abandoned and injured animals.
The day began with walking some friendly rescue dogs, who enjoyed the fresh air and company. Next, the team cleaned and refreshed the ducks’ enclosures, making sure the water was clean and inviting for the birds. One of the most memorable tasks was cleaning and painting the pig’s hut — this pig was an impressive 48 stone, much larger than the photo can show!
Manchester Volunteering at the Society for Abandoned Animals.
On 27th August, our Manchester team are dedicating their time to volunteering at the Society for Abandoned Animals. From caring for the rescued pets, helping with daily tasks, and taking the dogs for a much needed walk, what a better way to give back to their charity of the year.
World Clean Up Day – Wednesday 17th September 2025.
This global event takes place annually, with the goal of cleaning up the planet from waste and raising awareness about environmental issues. Every individual’s impact contributes to a cleaner environment, and we would love to see you all take part.
Waste has significant and wide-ranging negative impacts on the environment, including water and soil contamination, air pollution, climate change, habitat loss, and harm to human health.
Bechtle's Partnership with Brackmills BID.
Bechtle Northampton has been working with the Brackmills BID, a not-for-profit initiative, and other local businesses on the Brackmills estate, to enhance the estate’s environment, infrastructure, safety and sustainability. The meetings help co-ordinate actions and give everyone an opportunity to discuss issues or share ideas, to benefit businesses and their employees on the estate. The Northampton office is proud to be involved in hosting a series of sustainability workshops and organising community litter picks and other local projects to improve our work environment.
Bechtle Northampton nominated as a Brackmills Heros!
As part of this awards scheme, the BID encourages people from across the estate to tell us about those everyday stars who go that extra mile to make Brackmills brilliant. With all the support for litter picks across the estate and notifying of fly tipping, the winter coat collection and support for so many charities and activities.
Massive congrats to the Northampton team!
