About Government Commercial Agency (GCA).

Government Commercial Agency (GCA) is the largest procurement organisation in the UK. It uses its commercial and procurement expertise to support purchasers across the public sector, third sector organisations, and central government departments.

GCA is a trading fund, an executive agency of the Cabinet Office, and a constituent of the Government Commercial Function. It was formed on 1 April 2026, following the combination of Crown Commercial Service and several Cabinet Office Central Commercial teams.

What does GCA do? 

Government Commercial Agency (GCA) helps public and third sector organisations buy goods and services efficiently, compliantly, and at value for money.

Using its national purchasing power, GCA:

Which frameworks are Bechtle on?
G-Cloud 14

The G-Cloud 14 framework allows Public Sector bodies in the UK to choose and buy various Cloud computing services. The agreement is for 12 months which may be extended for a further 12 months. The main benefit of the framework is that the services are scalable. You only pay for what you use, and have the option to increase or reduce what you require.

 
Spark DPS

The Spark DPS framework provides the Public Sector with a Technology Innovation Marketplace to help the government and public sector to access new and emerging technology products.

As part of the framework, Bechtle have partnered with ATP Enable to offer the 4G Secure SIM from Digital Inc. The SIM meets the requirements of .GOV compliances and shields mobile users and edge devices, lowering organisation risk while also protecting employees and recipients.

Digital Outcomes 6 (RM1043.8)

Digital Outcomes 6 offers public sector customers access to digital products and services via a compliant route to market. 

Digital Outcomes 6 takes an agile approach to accelerate innovation within the public sector, with a focus on user-centred design.

TePAS 2 (RM6098)

The TePAS (RM6098) framework provides the Public Sector with a flexible and compliant way to purchase technology hardware, software, and services, including (but not limited to) end-user devices, servers, storage, infrastructure devices, software licences and accessories. This agreement has a broad scope.

For this framework, we can support in the following areas:

Cloud Compute 2 (RM6292)

The Cloud Compute 2 framework provides the wider Public Sector with access to cloud computing services such as Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and other ancillary services.

For this framework, we can support in the following areas:

  • Lot 2: Value-added ancillary services

We can support you in optimising your self-sufficiency, security and economic management, as well as providing additional professional services such as auditing, consultancy or training.
 

RM6190 – Technology Services 4

Provides access to technology strategy and service design as well as services to provide support with moving to the operational running of an IT estate. It also provides support for large projects, up to top secret classification and a range of other technology services.

For this framework, we can support in the following areas:

  • Lot 3: End User Services
  • Lot 3a: End User Services (lower value and complexity)
  • Lot 4: Infrastructure Management
  • Lot 4a: Infrastructure Management (lower value and complexity)
RM6116 – Network Services 3

All UK public sector organisations can access network solutions, communication services, connectivity to cloud-based data and applications, audio and video conferencing, radio and satellite networking, and emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Cities. Although Bechtle is not directly involved, our recently acquired company, Qolcom—a Bechtle company—is. We will explore any opportunities within this framework in collaboration with them, and they will submit proposals on our behalf.
