We want to ensure that our customers have as much time as possible to plan and prepare for these changes (albeit 1 month to plan is not long) and are aware of all commitment options available – including options that could delay the impact for up to 3 years.
For Adobe Value Incentive Plan (VIP) customers, Adobe will begin increasing prices for renewals and add-on licenses starting May 3, 2022. Adobe VIP members with a 3-year commit amendment will continue with their current pricing until the end of their 3-year commit period.
What is changing and what are the impacts?
- Creative Cloud ‘All apps’ for Teams and Enterprise subscriptions, and Creative Cloud single apps plans via VIP will see between a 4-7% price increase after May 3rd.
- Customers with Individual plans or Creative Cloud plans purchased directly with Adobe, will see this price increase from April 27th.
- These price increases will impact commercial and government customers. Education is currently excluded.
- Some Creative Cloud business plans are excluded, these include: Adobe Stock, Substance 3D, InCopy, Premier Rush, Adobe Fresco, Adobe XD and Acrobat plans.
How to plan for this change.
If you have a VIP agreement that is due to renew prior to May 3rd, you can place your renewal order under the current pricing - delaying the impact for 12 months. It is worth noting however, that any new licences added post May 3rd, will be at the higher price. If you are an organisation that has high demand for new licences or would like to fix your pricing, you could consider a 3-year commitment term that would extend this price protection for an additional 2 years and protect all future additions. However, there are some considerations to …
Adobe VIP Select 3-year term 10+ licences
- Offers discounts on all purchases
- Can only be selected at renewal
- Requires a minimum commitment for the term duration - what you sign up with will determine your minimum term
- Offers budget predictability and price protection for the term with annual payments
If your renewal windows fall after May 3rd, unfortunately this price increase will impact you. You could however consider the benefits of a 3-year term to provide some budget predictability and protection against future price changes by Adobe.
