These changes are leading organisations to review how they commit to CSP delivered services and what specific services are required by their end users. For some, this is a challenging activity. Not only because financial budgets may be impacted but it will also become more crucial to track what Microsoft 365 services are required and make the most optimal commitment – certainly if a 12 month or multi-year commitment is made.
We have been working with our clients helping to plan and prepare for this and wanted to share the journey with you, so that you may start to think about what your Microsoft 365 future looks like.
Journey to New Commerce
From this point, you will know the terms of your commitment and timeframes for managing a renewal. Renewals on the current CSP platform don’t really exist as licences just move from month to month. With New Commerce though, this will need to be considered especially where you choose annual or multi-year terms as you need to recommit based on things like staff numbers and service delivery.
Bechtle will manage your renewal process for you, but we will now be focusing more closely on your use of Microsoft 365 so that we can advise what your renewal commitment should look like. We have highlighted some key activities that we feel should be considered to support with effective CSP management and successful optimisation.
Journey on New Commerce – example of first year for annual commitment
Starting point:
Our Bechtle 365 service is a great way for you to receive regular updates on your M365 usage. We have 3 service options available so if our annual service isn’t quite right for you, there may be an alternative that suits more. Take a look below for an overview of what’s available.
Our Platinum package offers a more comprehensive service for those organisations that perhaps have a fairly complex environment or would value more of a Software Asset Management review. We deliver this through our SAM partner EasySAM,. Following the 365 standard health check, EasySAM can further review the data by carrying out a (typically time-consuming) task of validating against AD or HR records, make recommendations regarding service duplication, offer project management support and in addition implement a SAM MOT to review current SAM processes and strategy. As part of this MOT review, adjustments will also be detailed in a SAM scoring and improvement plan helping you to make the necessary steps towards SAM maturity.
Through out all of these changes, one thing does remain the same. That is your service from Bechtle. Our CSP services remain unchanged, your support levels continue and our Loyalty offers are still available.
We understand that that the time between now and March 2022 will require your focus and planning.
Rest assured, the team are here to support every step of the way.
