Copilot Copyright Commitment

Dynamics 365 Customer Insights License

Following the announcement earlier this year around Dynamics 365 Marketing and Customer Insights merging, this has now been implemented from the start of last month. The new skus are below, which contain access to both applications:

  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Attach
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys T1 Interacted People
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys T2 Interacted People
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Journeys T3 Interacted People
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Data T2 Unified People
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Data T1 Unified People
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Data T3 Unified People

Customer Insights is licensed per tenant and includes entitlements to install both the Customer Insights - Journeys and Customer Insights - Data applications in up to four different environments. It also includes a base capacity of 10K Interacted People for engagement via the Customer Insights - Journeys app and 100K Unified People for profile unification via the Customer Insights - Data app, as well as default Dataverse capacity.

You can qualify for an attach license if you meet the MOQ of 10 licenses of one of the following: Customer Service Professional, Customer Service Enterprise, Sales Professional, Sales Enterprise, Sales Premium, Field Service, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or Commerce.

Dynamics 365 Marketing is still available – but this is only for existing customers with the Marketing application and not for new sign ups.

The renewal will be available up until the September 2024.

Business Central Essentials

Business Central Essentials has now been made available as an attach option for Sales Enterprise, Field Service & Customer Service Enterprise from September 2023.

Teams Phone Shared Calling feature

Teams Phone is releasing a new feature called "Shared Calling" in October 2023. Shared Calling greatly simplifies phone number management for some users. Shared Calling also reduces costs for your organisation because you do not need a dedicated phone number for every user.


Update to New Commerce Experience (NCE) Timeline for Public Sector 

Microsoft recently announced that NCE will expand out to charities and education from 1st November 2023. Microsoft would then migrate legacy CSP to NCE on annual commitment from 1st January 2024 if no action was taken.

Microsoft have since announced that this will be pushed out to 2024. If you are a Bechtle customer, then you should have received an email from your Bechtle Account Manager on this.

REMINDER:  Windows Server 2012 EOL

Microsoft have confirmed Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 are going end of life 10th October 2023. After this date, these versions of Windows Server will stop receiving security and feature updates. This means any server continuing to run this software is open to security breaches and the longer these are left unprotected, the more this risk grows as hackers and malicious actors have more time to compromise and breach the latest patches.

Luckily, there are a few options Bechtle can help you with if you’re not able to upgrade. You can move this workload to Azure and receive free updates for 3 years. We understand this isn’t always possible for legacy workloads so organisations who have an Enterprise Agreement can purchase Extended security updates for 3 years. For organisations not currently on EA you can look at our Trend Micro solution.
