Recap: Discover Bechtle’s International Strength.
High temperatures, great conversations and even greater energy: on 24 June, customers, international experts and IT decision makers came together at Waterrijk Oesterdam for Discover Bechtle's International Strength. Throughout the afternoon, one theme kept returning: successful international business is never just about technology. It is about people, collaboration and finding the right balance between global consistency and local flexibility.
From international service delivery and customer stories from DLL Group and Ardo to future technologies and global partnerships, attendees gained practical insights into what it takes to scale IT successfully across borders. The key message of the day? International growth works best when strategy, processes and people move forward together.

Successful international organisations need consistency across countries, but they also need flexibility to respond to local requirements. Throughout the event, speakers highlighted the importance of creating a framework that enables both. Learn more about how we do this at Bechtle in our whitepaper.
Technology enables international business, but people make it work. One of the strongest messages throughout the day was that sustainable international growth depends on strong relationships, clear communication and mutual trust. Through the Global IT Alliance (GITA), Bechtle connects organisations with trusted local partners worldwide, making it possible to deliver consistent service across borders while staying close to local needs.
The customer story from DLL Group demonstrated that international projects rarely follow a standard playbook. Cultural differences, local regulations, procurement processes and varying expectations all influence success. Organisations that recognise these differences early are better positioned to scale internationally.
From AI-driven robotics and quantum technology to brain-computer interfaces, the technologies shaping tomorrow are developing faster than many organisations realise. The challenge is no longer deciding whether these innovations will have an impact but understanding when and how to prepare for them.
Robotics, quantum computers, brain-computer interfaces, nuclear fusion and our search for extraterrestrial life. During her keynote, Hetty Helsmoortel demonstrated how technologies that once belonged to science fiction are rapidly moving closer to reality. Rather than focusing on hypes, she explained what these developments mean in practice and why organisations should already be paying attention. Her keynote challenged attendees to look beyond short-term trends and consider how emerging technologies may shape business, society and innovation in the years ahead.
International growth requires more than local solutions in multiple countries. According to Diana Langer, successful international organisations combine central governance, scalable processes and strong local expertise. During her session, she shared how organisations benefit from international collaboration when structure, trust and alignment come together. She also highlighted the importance of translating local needs into scalable solutions that can be deployed across regions without losing sight of local realities.

Frank van Helvoirt shared the realities behind DLL Group’s international transformation journey. From cultural differences and local expectations to logistical and legal challenges, the session offered an honest look at what international execution looks like in practice. The discussion demonstrated that successful international projects require more than technology alone. They require flexibility, strong partnerships and a deep understanding of local circumstances.

Wim Vanhoutte from Ardo shared how the organisation streamlined international device management and procurement across multiple European locations. By introducing greater structure and standardisation, the company gained more visibility, consistency and control. The session illustrated how international organisations can reduce complexity while still allowing local teams the flexibility they need to support the business effectively.
The optional Rib Boat Experience provided a fitting end to an afternoon focused on international growth and new connections. While the discussions may have centred on strategy, governance and collaboration, the final activity added a little extra speed and excitement to the program. A memorable way to conclude a day filled with insights, conversations and new ideas.
