Corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Taking responsibility is important for Bechtle B.V., which is why we have made corporate social responsibility (CSR) an integral part of our business activities.
For instance, we have an environmental management system certified to ISO 1400:201 to monitor our environmental impact, and we support a variety of charitable organisations through donations or sponsorships each year. Our employees also play an active role, for example taking part in sponsored runs.
Our employees are our most important asset, which is why we invest in creating a good environment to work in and offer our staff a range of benefits to foster wellbeing.
Fair marketing.
Bechtle sells products from a large number of providers. We rate our key vendors using Silver, Gold and Platinum performance criteria, and regularly engage with these vendors to discuss marketing initiatives and build on our relationships.
The composition of our partner network is based on demand, the Gartner Quadrants and sales, and our consultants possess in-depth expertise across brands. Despite our close ties, we are strictly independent from our vendor partners, meaning our customers can be sure they are getting unbiased advice and the best possible solution there is.
Conflict minerals.
As an IT reseller, Bechtle B.V. does not manufacture any products itself, nor do we import or sell any products containing conflict minerals. To guarantee this, we regularly audit our suppliers to ensure they are not providing us with any such products.
CSR initiatives.
To create full transparency into our CSR initiatives and activities, we’ve been working with FIRA Sustainability to compile an independently verified CSR report, which also includes a scorecard that identifies areas where we can become better yet. We will continue to expand our CSR activities using this scorecard as a foundation. The FIRA report can be found in our CSR brochure.
Green IT.
Bechtle B.V. is always on the look out for the best solutions for its customers, which have the least impact on the environment. This also includes recycling and remarketing services for retired hardware. For this, we engage the services of our partners, who are either Weeelabex-certified themselves, or work exclusively with Weeelabex-certified companies.
Carbon footprint.
As a company, we strive to embrace sustainability in every aspect of our business, including our environmental footprint. We have therefore began to determine how much CO₂ we release into the air throughout our operations in order to design targeted measures and effectively reduce our carbon footprint.
