Jabra Evolve3 series: Hybrid working reimagined.
by Selcuk Oerenli
Hybrid collaboration and meetings present numerous organizational and technical challenges. A central element here is the tone: If participants in a video conference do not understand each other well, not only does the quality of collaboration decrease – the basic function of communication and communication is also impaired. This is exactly where Jabra's Evolve3 series comes in: with advanced speech processing, multiple microphones and adaptive noise cancellation for clear conversations.

Hybrid work has significantly changed the way we look at headsets. If you commute between the office, home office, café and train, you need headphones that transmit your voice clearly and intelligibly, even in noisy environments. In addition, users want a modern, simple design that is less reminiscent of call center agents and can also be used for music and entertainment in their free time. Jabra has developed the new Evolve3 series precisely for these requirements.
With the Evolve3 85 (over-ear) and Evolve3 75 (on-ear) models, which have now been launched on the market, Jabra has completely rethought the classic business headset. They are the first professional Jabra headsets without a microphone boom and offer AI-powered speech processing, adaptive noise cancellation and other technical features such as spatial sound during calls.
Speech intelligibility improved with AI.
The core of the new headsets is AI-supported audio processing. Jabra's ClearVoice™ technology uses deep learning algorithms to separate speech from noise. This means that the contributions of meeting participants remain clear and understandable even when the conversation partners are in noisy environments – such as in an open-plan office, at the train station or in the home office with children in the background. Instead of the microphone arm previously required for such good sound quality, the Jabra headsets work with a multi-microphone system integrated into the ear cups that precisely isolates voices.
This is supported by Jabra Advanced ANC™, which dynamically adapts to fit and environment and reduces background noise in real time. ANC and SideTone intertwine in calls: Despite the suppression of background noise, your own voice is clearly audible, which avoids unwanted louder and louder talking. Thanks to Spatial Sound, the voices from the other end also sound as if the people are right in front of you. As a result, even long phone calls feel more natural and less tiring and concentration is maintained for longer.
Two designs for different working styles.
To meet different preferences, Jabra offers two wearing styles:
Jabra Evolve3 85.
The Evolve3 85 offers a practical over-ear design that completely encloses the ears - for maximum shielding and concentration. At around 220 grams, the model is aimed at people who work in open office environments or during long video conferences and do not want to take ambient noise into the meeting.
Jabra Evolve3 75.
The Evolve3 75, on the other hand, is an on-ear model that sits lightly on the ears and thus looks more airy. Weighing around 180 grams, it was designed for people who travel a lot or move between work locations more frequently.
Both models have an unusually long battery life: Up to 120 hours of music playback are possible for the Evolve3 85 and around 110 hours for the Evolve3 75, with a talk time of 25 and 22 hours. A fast charging function also provides one hour of use per minute of charging time.
Interface for AI prompting.
Recent surveys and studies by Jabra show that people are increasingly talking to AI systems instead of typing in prompts. This makes a high quality of the audio input all the more important. Both Evolve3 models support voice interactions with digital assistants and generative tools. Around 96 percent of spoken words are recognized correctly, even in environments with background noise – ideal for voice-enabled workflows and voice prompt input. Headsets are thus becoming a central part of a voice-based work environment.
Centralized device management.
Also interesting: the device management. Jabra Plus Management enables corporate IT to centrally manage the Jabra Evolve3 series. Installing firmware updates, changing audio settings or adjusting configurations – everything can be done centrally. Both models are also certified for common unified communications platforms. The connection is via Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint support, so that several devices can be paired at the same time - with a wireless range of up to 30 meters.
Suitable for hybrid working.
The new Jabra Evolve3 headset series has now been launched. It costs around CHF 300 for the Evolve3 75 and around CHF 400 for the Evolve3 85 . The target group is thus clearly outlined: people who have to attend many meetings in a wide variety of environments every day and need high voice quality. Features in the Evolve3 series, such as the 360-degree busylight, which signals to colleagues in the office that you are currently on a call, as well as encrypted audio for secure corporate communication, are particularly aimed at professional work environments. At the same time, the headsets also appeal to people who value high wearing comfort, good looks and a technology with which the conversation partners on the other end actually understand every word.
