The energy supply company Eniwa was looking for a scalable IT solution for the server and storage environment in the data centre at its Buchs site and in an external data centre. High longterm performance was required. Eniwa plans to operate the solution itself and adapt it flexibly to changing requirements.

As Eniwa was already successfully using Dell components, the utilities specialist from the Aarau region opted for the hyper-converged VxRail solution from Dell, which was implemented by Bechtle. The customised hybrid solution with 14 VxRail E665F All Flash Nodes distributed across the two data centres and four Dell S5224F-ON switches per data centre created the desired future-proof and, above all, high-performance environment for Eniwa’s IT. Bechtle first defined the exact system parameters and implemented and configured the VxRail cluster. In addition, Bechtle trained the system managers and created comprehensive system documentation. With Bechtle’s 360° enterprise support, Eniwa has a team of specialists for various data centre technologies such as VMware, VxRail and backup available to provide flexible advice and assistance.
