Mägenwil, 11 February 2026 – Bechtle is further expanding its strong position in the public sector and combining the many years of experience of all three Swiss companies—Bechtle Schweiz AG, Bechtle direct AG, and Bechtle Suisse SA—in a new, Switzerland-wide public cluster. This consolidation strengthens cooperation across all regions and creates an even clearer, more integrated point of contact for public institutions for their digital projects.
The public sector has been one of Bechtle's most important markets for years. The company currently serves over 1,800 customers in administration, education, healthcare, and other public sectors, generating around CHF 225 million in revenue in this segment with all three companies. With the new structure, these customers will benefit even more in the future from standardized processes, closely integrated teams of experts, and a Switzerland-wide network of specialists.
Oliver Sieber will take over as technical director of the public cluster, reporting directly to Martin Kull, Vice President, Bechtle Switzerland. This will further strengthen the public sector at a strategic level. The further development will be accompanied by a steering committee. The disciplinary structures in the companies will remain unchanged, as will the sales and customer service models. Key account managers and account managers will continue to serve their customers as before and will also have access to specialized experts throughout Switzerland.
Bechtle places particular emphasis on healthcare. Since January, a cross-divisional virtual health team has been active, pooling expertise and developing targeted solutions for hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions. Bechtle is thus responding to the increasing demands in the healthcare market and creating additional added value for one of the fastest-growing public sectors.
With the Public Cluster, Bechtle aims to further expand its role as a key digitalization partner for the public sector. The uniform organization strengthens its tendering capabilities, simplifies cooperation between all service units, and enables it to offer integrated solutions even more effectively from a single source. This results in a clear advantage for public sector customers: greater orientation, greater efficiency, and a more concentrated profile of expertise.
“The public sector faces challenging digital tasks. With the Switzerland-wide Public Cluster, we ensure that our customers throughout Switzerland have access to Bechtle's bundled expertise. For security, digital sovereignty, and sustainable capacity to act,” says Martin Kull, Vice President, Bechtle Switzerland.
