Everything new and modern? At Gietz AG, that's not a question, it's a fact. But then everything changed—the previous service provider responsible for the IT infrastructure was no longer available from one day to the next. A solution had to be found quickly. Gietz wanted to use this challenge as an opportunity to standardize its existing, sprawling IT system. The specialist in finishing and punching machines wanted everything from a single source, with one contact person, one point of responsibility, and as few interfaces as possible.

Solution.

Bechtle took over IT within 14 days – quickly and easily. Bechtle had already supplied the HP clients to Gietz. A Bechtle service engineer with in-depth knowledge of HP was always on site. It was therefore only natural that Bechtle would also take over all IT support for Gietz AG as a trusted advisor: direct support and uniform components from Hewlett Packard on a new, clean system. It was clear to everyone involved that Bechtle would first have to assess the current situation and then migrate it to a modern network infrastructure with HPE Aruba switches and server components from HPE. Everyone was also aware that Bechtle would have to replace all access points and printers with new devices from HPE and HP. In a nutshell, Bechtle replaced the entire IT infrastructure, including a modern backup system based on Veeam. Since then, Bechtle's 360° service package has ensured smooth operations: with 360° maintenance, Gietz no longer has to worry about regular updates. The Bechtle Service Manager reports every six months on tickets, projects, and expenses. Bechtle identifies problems for Gietz early on with 360° monitoring. And 360° Backup Control ensures that all data backups have been completed correctly. This means that everything at Gietz is always up to date and secure. And the company no longer has to worry about it itself.
