2 HP Inc. commissioned Four Elements Consulting to perform an environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) comparing the environmental impact of an Original HP toner cartridge (CF226X) with an HP EvoCycle cartridge (CF226XR) using the most up-to-date data on production practices, recycling, product quality and usage trends (see hp.com/go/EvoCycle-HP-2021). The assessment uses a 2021 SpencerLab reliability study commissioned by HP in which Original HP CF226X and HP EvoCycle CF226XR toner cartridges were compared. Details can be viewed at spencerlab.com/reports/HP-EvoCycle2021.pdf. The assessment determined that the HP EvoCycle manufacturing process produces 37% less carbon than that of the HP CF226X and has a 1.8% smaller carbon footprint over the course of its entire lifecycle.
