Neckarsulm/Brussels, 31 August 2015 – Bechtle will launch a new subsidiary in Belgium on 1 September 2015. Specialising in the public-sector business, Bechtle Public Belgium NV will be headquartered in Neerpelt and also maintain an office in Brussels. Gozard Polak, who joined Bechtle in 2013, will assume the position of Managing Director of the new company, in addition to his responsibilities as Managing Director of Bechtle Brussels. The new company will operate from the same premises as Bechtle’s Brussels system house, which was established in 2012.
Focusing on public-sector customers, Bechtle Public Belgium will cater to the specific needs of government agencies, as well a complement the activities of the Brussels system house, which will continue to concentrate on project business with EU institutions.
“Belgium is an attractive market offering significant growth potential. The new company allows us to better address very specific requirements, e.g. by differentiating between EU institutions and state agencies. Gozard Polak’s extensive experience and our established organisations in Belgium provide a sound starting point to further our reputation as a customer-centred IT partner”, explains Jürgen Schäfer, Member of the Executive Board, IT E-Commerce, Bechtle AG. The Bechtle Group had first entered the Belgian market in 2000 with Bechtle direct in Neerpelt. The company has shown an excellent development catering to industrial customers under Managing Director Ruth Wachelder, and will retain its current customer focus.
“The fact that we were able to win a number of high-profile EU customers in the past, including the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and the European Investment Bank, greatly simplifies our approach to the public sector. “Our extensive portfolio and our online shop, available in English, German, Dutch, and French, provide the perfect foundation to establish another successful business unit”, says Gozard Polak, Managing Director of Bechtle Public Belgium and Bechtle Brussels.
