A strategic approach to greater diversity.
Bechtle is firmly committed to equal opportunities and to combating discrimination—a principle embedded in our Code of Conduct, which applies to all employees. We’re a signatory of the Diversity Charter—because for us, diversity is more than a principle; it’s part of how we work. It’s a shared responsibility that spans every level of the organisation. With more than 16,000 colleagues from over 100 nations in 14 European countries, our group reflects the diverse world we live in.
Every individual brings something unique, and to harness this potential, our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) strategy weaves diversity and equal opportunity into the culture of the entire Bechtle Group. Guided by the principles of the Diversity Charter, it sets out clear commitments and concrete actions across our four diversity dimensions—age, gender, physical and mental abilities, and social background.
Four dimensions of diversity.
Each generation brings unique perspectives, values and ways of working, along with different expectations of an employer. At Bechtle, we see this diversity as a valuable asset, which is why we actively encourage collaboration across generations.
Women achieve outstanding results in vocational training and higher education, yet remain under-represented in IT roles and leadership positions. To attract more female talent to Bechtle, we promote transparent development opportunities and a fair, supportive working environment.
Equal participation for people with different physical and mental abilities is a key element of our DE&I strategy. Our goal is to remove barriers in the environment—not to focus on individual impairments or disabilities. We foster an inclusive workplace built on openness, respect and genuine appreciation.
Social background significantly influences access to career opportunities and advancement. People from non-academic families often face more hurdles when starting out or moving up. We counter this by offering targeted support and fair career opportunities.
