Ethical business practices.

Our vision.
Ethical business practices are a matter of course. We take responsibility for respecting human rights along our value chain.

In this strategic action area, we focus on governance issues relating to sustainability and social responsibility. We apply strict due diligence—not only at Bechtle, but throughout our supply chain—and ensure transparent, fair business processes as well as ethical and lawful conduct. This builds trust and reflects our corporate responsibility.

Our focal points within this action area are:

  • Supply chain sustainability
  • Compliance and anti-corruption
  • Social commitment
Social Development Goals.

The following UN SDGs apply to our action area for ethical business practices:

Decent Work and Economic Growth
Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Human rights.

We are committed to internationally recognised principles of human rights, fair working conditions and responsible business practices:

  • Universal Declaration of Human Rights
  • United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
  • OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises
  • Labour and social standards of the International Labour Organisation (ILO)

We work to ensure that human rights and environmental standards are respected throughout our value chain. These principles are embedded in the Bechtle Supplier Code of Conduct, which is integral to our business relationships with our technology partners and distributors. We verify compliance through document-based audits.

Bechtle AG’s policy statement on respecting human rights and environmental standards.

Our clear position on respecting human rights and environmental standards is set out in a policy statement that meets the requirements of Section 6 (2) of the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG).

Grievance procedure.

Our whistleblower system enables individuals to confidentially report any human rights violations or environmental impacts related to Bechtle’s business activities either by e-mail or phone.

The whistleblower system complies with Section 8 of the German Supply Chain Act (LkSG).

Compliance and anti-corruption.

Our corporate culture is built on integrity and compliance with the law. At the heart of our compliance system is the Bechtle Code of Conduct, which is binding for all employees across the Bechtle Group. In addition, our Anti‑corruption Policy sets out clear rules for integrity in day‑to‑day business.

Sustainability risk management.

Sustainability risk management is a key component of Bechtle AG’s group-wide risk management framework. We conduct a supplier risk analysis at least once a year to identify potential risks, with the aim of systematically assessing and managing human rights and environmental risks throughout our supply chain. We prioritise risks and set preventive measures accordingly.

In the event of ad hoc reports of incidents in the supply chain, we implement additional remediation measures and review their effectiveness.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR).

As part of our corporate social responsibility, we are a long-term partner to social projects that align with our values, culture, and brand, focusing on three areas—children and young people, education, and sport.

Our decentralised business model is reflected in our social commitments, as each managing director decides which initiatives to support in their region.
