Neckarsulm, 7 March 2016 – Bechtle AG has entered into yet another cooperation agreement, this time with Data#3 Limited in Australia. The Brisbane-based company was founded in 1977 and employs over 1,100 people at 14 locations throughout Australia and Tasmania. Last year it generated a total revenue of AUD 870.5m, which equals approximately EUR 557m. Data#3 is the second partner to represent Bechtle in Australia, joining Lexel Systems Ltd., who is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, and has been a GITA member since 2014. Bechtle will continue to partner with Lexel in New Zealand.
Data#3 is the ninth partner in Bechtle’s global network. The publicly traded company partners with all major hardware and software manufacturers, including Adobe, APC, Cisco, Citrix, EMC, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Symantec and VMware. It is also Australia’s largest partner to HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Data#3 operates offices, data centres, and configuration and logistics centres in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Launceston and Hobart, serving customers throughout Australia and Asia Pacific. “Our newest addition to the GITA, Data#3, is not only a true heavyweight on the Australian IT market, but also an outstanding partner who champions the same high standards for service, quality and accessibility as Bechtle,” comments James Napp, Managing Director of Bechtle direct UK and Bechtle’s GITA director.
Tailored IT solutions.
Working with both private and public sector organisations, Data#3 offers a range of technology solutions across six solution categories; Cloud, Mobility, Big Data, IT Lifecycle Management, Security and Consulting. “Customer satisfaction is our highest priority. Becoming a member of the GITA allows us to partner with companies that can offer the same high quality standards in international markets in which we don’t have physical offices. The GITA network will help to increase our opportunities on the global stage,” comments Laurence Baynham, Chief Executive Officer, Data#3.
Solid network with strong potential.
Since 2014 the Global IT Alliance has built on Bechtle’s existing network of 66 IT system houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and e-commerce subsidiaries in 14 European countries. The Alliance is Bechtle’s response to the increasing need of multinational customers for reliable, global IT providers. Bechtle meticulously selects all GITA members in close cooperation with vendor partners. The international network already includes Atea (Scandinavia and the Baltic states), Compucentro (Mexico), Datacentrix (South Africa), Data#3 (Australia), JBS (Japan), JOS (China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Singapore), Lexel (New Zealand), Microware (Brazil) and PC Connection (USA). Plans to further expand the Alliance are in the works.
