Neckarsulm, 10 June 2016 – Sandra Stegmann has been newly elected to the Supervisory Board of Bechtle AG. A renowned expert in technology, commerce and corporate strategy, Ms Stegmann succeeds Dr Walter Jaeger, who has stepped down from the Supervisory Board after eight years, citing personal reasons. Yesterday’s AGM elected Ms Stegmann with 99.68 percent of the votes.
After obtaining her degree, Ms Stegmann began her career in European logistics planning at Bosch-Siemens Home Appliances in Munich. She then served as a manager for Gemini Consulting and Cell Consulting before joining SAP in 2005, where she was initially responsible for SAP Services in the European wholesale and retail division. Ms Stegmann was then appointed to Vice President Corporate Strategy in Walldorf, where she developed cloud, service and platform strategies. In 2013 she was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Application Innovation. In her final position at SAP, she served as Executive Vice President in charge of the SAP portfolio.
The 47-year-old Heilbronn native joined the Stuttgart office of Egon Zehnder, a leading global HR consultancy, in May 2015 as a consultant. As part of the Global Technology & Communications Practice, Ms Stegmann advises technology and service providers and assists clients as they undergo digital transformation. She lives in Ludwigsburg with her husband and two children.
