The email gateway protects over 700 mailboxes from external attacks, simplifies administration, and enables central email encryption. Challenge.

Emails are an important means of communication—and this is also true at E-Werk Mittelbaden. Hundreds of emails are exchanged every day between departments, partners, and local authorities. How can digital communication be secured efficiently? To this end, Elektrizitätswerk Mittelbaden was looking for a comprehensive email security solution—including email encryption. The goal was to create a central platform that could be used to control all email traffic – clearly, transparently, and easily. With encryption and signing, so that every message meets the high data protection and compliance requirements of a critical infrastructure company. At the same time, the power company wanted technology developed specifically for the public sector that meets the highest security standards and is operated entirely in Germany.

The introduction of NoSpamProxy has significantly simplified our administration in the area of email security. The collaboration was reliable, professional, and well-coordinated at all times. Solution.

Together with Bechtle, E-Werk Mittelbaden opted for NoSpamProxy, a certified email security solution “Made in Germany.” All technical and organizational requirements were coordinated in a workshop. Based on this, Bechtle configured the entire environment to precisely meet the energy supplier's requirements. This included setting up the domains, adjusting the DNS records, and defining clear security guidelines for attachments, filters, and exceptions. Step by step, Bechtle implemented the new email security solution—transparently, comprehensibly, and always in consultation with E-Werk. Bechtle first ran the system on a trial basis using less frequently used domains before going live. On the deadline, Bechtle only had to change the routing so that all emails would run through NoSpamProxy from that point on. After minor adjustments, such as exception rules, the entire configuration was finally documented – including a visualization of the entire email flow. Today, E-Werk manages its email traffic centrally via NoSpamProxy's secure private cloud environment and benefits from automatic encryption, uniform signatures, and administration that gives IT an overview at all times.
