Challenge.
Connect 100+ clients with a wide variety of measurement tasks. Langheinz Kältetechnik GmbH wanted to create an efficient and scalable way for its customers to flexibly record and analyze all important energy and production data, such as load profiles, without having to make a large investment. The IoT solution needed to be easy to implement - especially for small and medium-sized companies with limited resources. The specially developed data load profile boxes had to be user-friendly and easy to configure. A cloud-based infrastructure was also needed to securely store and easily manage all the data collected. The platform had to function independently of existing IT systems and integrate seamlessly into hybrid environments.
Right from the start, Bechtle proved how well its experts can respond to the individual requirements of a company of our size. The collaboration was characterized by a high level of expertise and a partnership-based approach that was convincing both on a professional and interpersonal level. It was not least this interaction that led our project to success.

Solution.
Together with Bechtle, Langheinz developed the desired future-proof IoT-as-a-Service solution: a scalable cloud infrastructure based on Amazon AWS. This allows any number of customers to be connected and the collected data to be flexibly integrated into other systems. Langheinz configured the specially developed DL-Box for on-site data collection. This hardware can be individually adapted so that, for example, air compressors can be monitored or energy consumption in production halls can be measured. The simple approach: the DL-Box is connected and the data is securely transferred to the cloud. Without expensive, permanently installed systems, customers can analyze their processes in a targeted manner, identify potential for optimization and return the devices after a few weeks. Bechtle supported Langheinz from planning and architecture development through to implementation. The requirements developed in workshops were implemented in the architecture according to AWS best practices. The cloud solution has a container infrastructure and a multi-tenant user administration that provides each customer with a protected area. The DLM application developed by 7i Project GmbH was seamlessly integrated into the new infrastructure by Bechtle. This allows customers to conveniently visualize and analyze their data themselves.
