Children are studying in the classroom on computers

Get tips from experts.

DigitalPakt Schule 1.0 has come to an end, and the second version has not yet come into force. Nevertheless, it is already worth considering how your own school can benefit from it. This is because, despite funding, the level of digitisation in German schools varies greatly. While some already offer fully digitised lessons with 1:1 equipment, others are still struggling with functional Wi-Fi.

The Franz-Binder-Verbundschule in Neckarsulm is a good example of how to move forward. Since 2023/2024, there have been no more normal classes here. Learning takes place in open learning spaces. ‘The success of the children – that's our job,’ says headmistress Antje David, striking a chord.

In conversation with experts, the headmistress discusses what she will focus on in the next Digital Pact. Together, the experts discuss possibilities and opportunities, including for schools that are still at a different stage. Find out more in the webinar ‘How to use the Digital Pact correctly’ on 27 November from 14 to 15 o'clock.

Antje David

Principal of the Franz-Binder Comprehensive School.

“The learning environment makes all the difference.” In this webinar, Antje David, principal of the Franz-Binder-Verbundschule and managing principal in Neckarsulm, explains what this statement means and why it is so important to her.

People and technology together will make the difference in the future. The speed of change poses major challenges for interaction and communication in our society and thus also in schools. She knows that schools need a more comprehensive understanding of what digitalization and AI mean in schools and what role they play in future-oriented education

In addition to these future-oriented topics, Antje David is passionate about the topic of “designing learning environments” in general.

From 2008 to 2025, she played a leading role in establishing innovative schools in the region (FSAS Künzelsau, JSS Erlenbach, FBV Neckarsulm).

Her focus is on developing contemporary learning environments that promote personal responsibility, creativity, and teamwork.
