The exclusive event at Brussels’ Mercedes-Benz Experience Center saw 600 people representing Belgium’s top-rated IT companies come together to rub shoulders with partners, customers and the competition at the annual meet-and-greet, followed by a black-tie dinner and the highlight of the evening: the awards ceremony that lets the audience cast their votes live. For the first time in the awards’ 18-year history, a jury had a say in the third and final ballot.

After 12 years at the helm of the now 69-strong team in Pelt, Belgium, the award honours Ruth Wachelder’s authentic leadership, her local effectiveness, and the positive energy she exudes. “I am very excited to receive this recognition from our partners. For me, the award highlights my determination and continued investment in the development of our business,” says Ruth Wachelder.

She wants the award to be a beacon that can be seen across Belgium and beyond: “I hope to set an example for all women in IT, and to encourage young women to pursue a career in this exciting industry. Bechtle has created an environment that enables female professionals to sharpen their skills in many areas.”
