Neckarsulm, 02/02/2012 – Bechtle AG has achieved its ambitious growth targets for 2011. Preliminary figures suggest record revenues amounting to some 2 bn euros, an increase of nearly 16 per cent compared to 2010. Earnings before taxes (EBT) climbed by around 39 per cent to 86 million euros. This represents a significant increase in the EBT margin to 4.3 per cent from 3.6 per cent in the previous year.
Despite the economy’s slowing momentum over the course of the year, Bechtle was able to top the fourth quarter of 2010—the strongest quarter in the company’s history—in terms of both revenue and earnings. October through December 2011 showed an increase in group revenues from 566 million euros to around 585 million euros. EBT increased of approximately 6 per cent to some 26.2 million euros (previous year: 24.6 million euros).
“For us, the 2011 fiscal year was a great success with excellent results. In the fourth quarter, we were even able to slightly exceed our own record figures from the previous year—despite a rather turbulent economy. I’m especially pleased that we were not only able to achieve our ambitious target of 2 bn euros in revenues, but at the same time could generate an above-average increase in EBT,” explains Dr. Thomas Olemotz, CEO of Bechtle AG.
Bechtle AG is due to release all confirmed figures for the fiscal year 2011 on Thursday, 15 March 2012.
