Neckarsulm, 27 November 2013 – Over 200 guests attended the SolidWorks Customer Day in Neckarsulm on 21 November 2013, which was jointly hosted by Bechtle’s CAD specialists, SolidLine AG and Solidpro GmbH. Through presentations and displays, participants were able to discover the diverse applications of SolidWorks’ 3D software products as well as the comprehensive range of services offered by the two Bechtle subsidiaries.
Held at Bechtle AG’s headquarters, the first-ever SolidWorks Customer Day focused on solutions covering all aspects of the product development process. The objective was to facilitate direct contact between the manu-facturer and SolidWorks users from all over Germany in order to establish a new forum for dialogue. “The number of requests to participate in the SolidWorks Customer Day was indication enough of how interested people are in SolidWorks and Bechtle AG. The event was a resounding success. Thanks to the highly interested, top-level audience, we saw some very enthusiastic discussions in Neckarsulm about the solutions presented,” comments Uwe Burk, Country Manager Central Europe, SolidWorks Deutschland GmbH.
Knowledge at the Source.
Anyone eager to discover the most notable SolidWorks developments was rewarded with a comprehensive overview of solutions at the event. Manufacturer experts demonstrated the benefits of ongoing calculations during the design process and gave insight on how non-CAD users can more effectively apply design data to their own projects. Attendees found inspiration in a report on the fascinating bionics projects in the works at Festo, as well as the design practices of other SolidWorks users. “Exciting presentations by users and specialists, and one-on-one discussions with peers and both SolidWorks and Bechtle experts: this combination is what makes this Customer Day unique in Germany,” says Werner Meiser, Managing Direc-tor, Solidpro GmbH.
Closer to the Solution.
Displays were set up to provide visitors with extensive information on the services offered by Bechtle’s subsidiaries, and on products by specialised software partners and hardware manufacturers. Among other topics, consultants advised customers on the Bechtle PLM portfolio and its comprehensive solutions, which range from Business Intelligence to product development, to IT security and managed services. “We are pleased with the success of this premiere, which allowed us to put the synergy of a large corporate group and our close cooperation with partners on display. The positive customer feedback we’ve received validates our plans to make this a recurring event,” summarizes Norbert Franchi, Head of Bechtle’s Software Division and CEO of SolidLine AG.
