Neckarsulm, Germany 5 February 2014 – Specialising in on-site services, Bechtle’s latest acquisition, Amaras AG in Monheim am Rhein, provides service desks and field services for large-scale customers. Amaras generated over three million euros in revenue in the last fiscal year with a staff of 33. The company will reinforce Bechtle’s on-site services branch as part of Bechtle Managed Services AG (BMS). All current on-site deployments will remain unchanged to ensure consistency in customer service. In addition to his position as CEO of Amaras, Oliver Schmidt will assume related duties within Bechtle Systemhaus Holding AG. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the acquisition.

Strategic Core Business.
Provided by central BMS units and some 65 IT system houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, managed services are one of the pillars of Bechtle’s core business. BMS counts 637 employees in total, 234 of which are in on-site services. Through out-tasking and outsourcing contracts, services technicians provide con-tinuous on-site support to the customers’ own IT service teams. Businesses can also choose to outsource 100% of the operation of their IT processes.
