Langenau, Germany, 28 April 2014 – Solidpro Informationssysteme GmbH has expanded its business portfolio, adding 3D printing, rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing through a new partnership with alphacam GmbH, a leading provider of Stratasys 3D printing technologies (FDM and PolyJet).
The Bechtle subsidiary is now able to provide a solution that spans the entire production chain, from virtual 3D CAD models to tangible prototypes and finished products. Up until now, the SolidWorks reseller has offered software for manufacturing, simulation, data management and technical communication. In December 2012 it acquired Unicam Software GmbH and its SolidCAM and Mastercam CNC programming software. The new strategic alliance with alphacam extends Solidpro’s portfolio to include 3D printers, rapid prototyping printers and machines for additive manufacturing based on FDM and PolyJet technologies.
Flexibility, quality and extensive experience in digital manufacturing were the key criteria in choosing alphacam as a partner. “The alliance with alphacam gives us a reliable and professional partner,” explains Werner Meiser, managing director of Solidpro GmbH. alphacam has over 20 years of experience in the field of 3D printing and has been a Stratasys sales partner in Germany since 1994. In addition to their expertise, alphacam brings to the partnership its own training centre, a service hotline, a presentation centre, and a parts factory service. Werner Meiser: “The advantage of this strategic alliance is that both partners can concentrate on their own respective core business while offering customers a complete solution spanning the entire production chain, from digital prototypes to the actual end product.”
