Neckarsulm, 18 April 2018 – The Bechtle Competence Days at the group headquarters in the Southern German town of Neckarsulm set new records for both the number of participants and topics covered in 2018. Demand at the annual in-house event on 11 and 12 April was stronger than ever with 3,120 visitors. Under the motto “Digital Evolution”, the event focused on more than 90 current IT solution topics—more than ever before—and an accompanying exhibition with experts from the Bechtle Competence Centres.
The aim of the event, held for the 14th time in 2018, was to present current information technologies for companies and the public sector in line with their actual needs. A special feature of the Competence Days is the wide-ranging presentation programme, in which Bechtle Group experts as well as customer and science partners impart their knowledge. This year, the focus was on flexible data centre infrastructures, the Modern Workplace and IT security under the new European Data Protection Regulation. In addition to numerous live demos—including professional virtual reality applications or digital whiteboards for use in education—the exhibition offered the opportunity to delve deep into topics in dialogue with the experts.
The Bechtle Competence Centres comprise of dedicated teams with extensive knowledge in their respective fields who also cover complex topics such as ERP, collaboration, CAD or 3D printing. These highly specialised resources offer their services to companies across the Bechtle Group to deliver successful customer projects. In addition to the Competence Days in Neckarsulm, the Bechtle IT systems integrators also offer an overview of technologies and the group’s capabilities at regional IT forums, most recently in North Rhine-Westphalia, Switzerland and Thuringia, and later this year in Frankfurt and Hamburg.
