Dortmund, 23 March 2023 – The Bechtle IT System House Dortmund, with satellite locations in Meschede and Siegen, continues on a trajectory of growth in its tenth consecutive record-breaking year. The IT service provider increased revenue in 2022 by 36 million euros to 248 million euros. The headcount increased by 45 to a total of 190. To underscore this spectacular development and future growth, Bechtle Dortmund is investing 30 million euros into a new campus on the Phoenix West grounds.
“Bechtle Dortmund has become a big IT player in the region. We are very proud to have achieved record revenue for the tenth year in a row with our system house. We will continue to gain market share in the region and remain on our successful path into the future. Our new campus building at Phoenix West is a huge step forward, and the next logical step after our first move in 2018. We will continue to invest heavily in our Dortmund branch, to lay the foundation for our ambitious plans for further growth,” says Frank Wrede, Managing Director, Bechtle IT System House Dortmund.
The new building will serve as an IT future hub, housing cross-cutting expertise from various Bechtle companies under one roof. The Bechtle campus will provide 6,000 m² of office and warehousing space and 300 workstations featuring cutting-edge technology and ergonomics.
Employees will benefit from this new office concept with a mix of shared and fixed desks, which meet all requirements of hybrid collaboration across office and remote work.
Putting a focus on unhindered communication with modern conferencing technology installed in a variety of meeting, training and event spaces, a huddle room for quick ad-hoc meetings and a cafeteria, the Bechtle campus is designed to become the new IT nexus in Dortmund.
“We believe it will remain an absolute necessity for SMEs and the public sector to invest in agile IT solutions. Our new Bechtle Campus gives us even more opportunities to interact with our customers and support them in their digital transformation,” explains Frank Wrede.
To create a truly future-ready workspace, the new Bechtle building has been designed with sustainability in mind. For example, the Bechtle campus has a photovoltaic system, a thermal heat pump and a rain water cistern. A total of 50 of the 180 planned parking spaces in the parking garage feature charging points for electric cars.
Bechtle will move into the new campus at Phoenix West on 2 May 2023.
