Challenge.

Full control, maximum security – that's exactly how Märzhäuser wanted to secure its IT in the future. However, the company didn't just want to protect individual areas, it wanted to cleverly network its entire infrastructure – a firewall that thinks for itself. In addition, endpoint and email security that seamlessly integrate with each other. Last but not least, the new security solution had to be manageable via a central dashboard. Märzhäuser no longer wanted individual components, but a smart, well-thought-out and, above all, uniform solution. One that detects threats early on and relieves the team, but can also grow with the company.

Solution.

This is exactly what Bechtle implemented. After an inventory and GAP analysis, it was clear that the firewall, endpoint security and email security needed to be improved. At the heart of the new solution is a modern Sophos firewall with a cloud-based email security solution from Sophos. As the new backbone of IT, the firewall detects threats in real time and proactively defends against attacks. Everything works together with the existing Sophos endpoint security. What makes it special? Everything runs via a central security dashboard. Märzhäuser can see what is happening at a glance – full transparency instead of complicated individual checks. Cyber attacks, suspicious activities or security gaps? They are detected early and defended against immediately. For additional network security, Bechtle used intelligent segmentation. This clearly separated all networks and minimised attack surfaces. This means that an intrusion into the system does not automatically mean access to the entire company. And the best part? The transition went smoothly. The firewall was integrated in the evening and on weekends – without disrupting day-to-day business. And the level of security was increased sustainably.
