Career changer.
Bechtle career changer programme "Future in IT“ (FIT).
You don't always need a linear career path. With us, you can make it big even without any previous technical knowledge. If you want to make a difference and shape the future with IT, then you've come to the right place.
We want to enable career changers and people from outside the field to enter the IT sector of the future. With our "Future in IT" (FIT) programme for lateral entrants, we qualify people precisely for their new tasks at Bechtle. Age, gender or background are of secondary importance. The most important thing: the right attitude and the will to make a difference.
You can start your career with us in IT Technology, Account Management and IT Project Management.
Exchange ideas with other career changers and network within the Bechtle world.
The qualification is provided by the renowned Provadis School of International Management and Technology AG. The Bechtle Academy provides the finishing touches with specific training courses.
After the qualification your employment will lead to a permanent contract.
Entry into the programme is possible at more than 30 Bechtle companies and thus nationwide.
On your way into IT, you will be accompanied by experienced mentors and can turn to your personal buddy for everyday challenges.
After the first modules, it quickly became clear to us how much effort and commitment Bechtle puts into our training - that motivates us to keep at it.

The Provadis School of International Management and Technology AG is a private, state-recognised university in Frankfurt am Main. It is one of the largest private universities in Hesse and is particularly renowned for its practical relevance.
The programme starts in April and October of each year.
- Account Management: 5 months
- IT Technology: 5-6 months
- IT Project Management: 5 months
The qualification can be divided into 5 phases:
Onboarding phase: In the introductory phase, you will receive a comprehensive overview of Bechtle as an employer, your responsible company and the FIT programme.
University phase: This is followed by a 5-6-week intensive university phase to deepen your knowledge.
Academy training: The subsequent Academy training sessions are specialised and geared towards your focus and track.
On-the-job training phase: This is where you apply the skills you have learnt in the workplace.
Final event: After 5 months of intensive development, a final event at the Bechtle headquarter rounds off the programme.
Lectures and seminars are held both as face-to-face events and virtually.
For the qualification as an IT colleague you will receive an university certificate (no ECTS points).
Travel and training costs are covered by the employing company.
As a rule, participants receive a lump sum for additional subsistence expenses or can claim these costs back via tax. This means that there are no costs for the participants.
The remuneration varies depending on the location and the experience of the participants both during and after the qualification. This is already determined in the permanent employment contract before the start of the programme.
If you leave within 24 months of qualifying, a pro-rata repayment of the training costs will be made.
You can conveniently apply online by specifying your desired locations. You can find all information about our application process here.
