ARP received the Swiss E-Commerce Award for the best business-to-business (B2B) web shop yesterday. The 12-member jury was impressed in particular with the group’s versatile use of B2C features in their B2B shop.
This year marks the first time the ARP Group has been acknowledged at the Swiss E-Commerce Awards, which have been held since 2012. A total of 140 e-commerce businesses contended for awards in ten categories, with ARP beating out four other nominees in the category of best B2B web shop.
The jury, made up of 12 e-commerce specialists, explained its choice by praising ARP’s approach of deliberately incorporating consumer expectations and familiar, established B2C functionalities into its B2B shop. Among the features singled out were user prompts, search and compare options, as well as a customised B2B cockpit.
The award was presented during the Internet-themed trade fair, ONE, held in Zurich. It was accepted by Andreas Schicker, management executive and head of ARP Switzerland’s online business division, who commented, “We are very pleased to receive this award. Not only does it make us proud, it also confirms that our shop re-design has been a success. At the same time, we view the award as motivation to continuously improve our online platform. Thank you to all who participated in the development of our new online shop.”
