APPLE BUSINESS MANAGER.

Apple’s central admin portal.

Apple Business Manager is an easy, web-based portal for IT administrators to automate device provisioning, purchase and distribute content and manage functions within an enterprise. Apple Business Manager works seamlessly with mobile device management (MDM) solutions and makes it easy to register devices, distribute contents and assign admin rights. The Device Enrolment Program (DEP) and Volume Purchase Program (VPP) are now integrated into Apple Business Manager so that the IT department has a access to all necessary features for implementing iOS devices, Mac computers and Apple TVs via a central interface.

Device implementation.

The Device Enrolment Program offers a fast, optimised method for implementing Apple business devices.

  • Devices are automatically enrolled in MDM ensuring users quick access.
  •  Initial setup is simplified as the system assistant skips unnecessary steps.
  • Standard MDM servers are easy to manage as each type of device is designated to a different server.

Purchasing content.

Companies can easily purchase large amounts by going through the “Apps and Books”.

  • Buy and distribute large numbers of apps and books and manage user licences via MDM.
  • Deploy apps and books directly on managed devices or to authorised users and easily track assigned content.
  • Control the entire distribution process without restricting app ownership rights.
  • Distribute apps to all devices and users in all countries the app is available.

What are the benefits for you?

  • A centralized portal for managing device deployment and enterprise features, as well as purchasing and distributing content.
  • Fully automated configuration without IT intervention.
  • Optimized, customizable setup.
  • Mandatory, non-removable MDM registration.
  • Through iOS management, for example, the activation lock can be removed or additional settings can be managed.

How do I get Apple Business Manager? How do I set it up?

Whether you’re new to Apple Business Manager or interested in upgrading—here are the first steps:

For businesses that haven’t registered for the program yet:

Businesses that aren’t registered with DEP or VPP can sign up at business.apple.com. This requires basic business information, a verification contact for review, and administrator details.

For eligible businesses:

Single eligible business: Representatives can initiate an upgrade online via the previous program website or through the new Apple Business Manager web portal at business.apple.com. After logging in, users will see the same upgrade prompt on both websites.
Multiple businesses: Accounts with multiple businesses must first be consolidated into a single business. This can be done with the assistance of AppleCare.
Older VPP accounts only: VPP accounts created before February 2014 may be known as “Program Reseller Accounts.” Registration is done through the new portal by inviting older Program Reseller Accounts to Apple Business Manager.
