VMware honours Bechtle with the 2011 award for Highest Invested Solution Provider in the EMEA region.
Bechtle was the only German partner to receive a prize
Neckarsulm, 02 November 2011—At this year's VMware partner conference in Copenhagen, Bechtle was the only German partner to receive a price for the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). The leading provider of virtual infrastructure software honoured Bechtle's outstanding expertise in the area of virtualisation. No other partner for VMware solutions has invested as thoroughly as Bechtle in enhancing the technical abilities of its employees. This is reflected in Bechtle's high number of employee certifications and the company's positioning as an early adopter of new VMware technologies. Michael Guschlbauer, COO IT System House & Managed Services at Bechtle AG, and Roland König, Head of Virtualisation, were at the event to accept the award. Bechtle has a total of 480 VMware-certified specialists for sales, presales, and systems engineering—giving the company a significant lead in the EMEA region.
At its European conference in Copenhagen, the software manufacturer VMware reaffirmed the cloud computing course it has set with new products for managing virtual environments. Some 7,200 visitors took part in this year's VMworld Europe. The event's motto made the manufacturer's focus clear: "Your cloud. Own it." Although server virtualisations, carried out through the vSphere product line, continue to determine VMware's business, client virtualisation and integration of applications are significant elements in the company's portfolio of solutions. In the future, businesses will use IT as a service, provided through private, hybrid or public clouds and adjusted to meet individual requirements.
"For us, virtualisation as the technological foundation for using cloud services will be one of the pivotal IT technologies in coming years. We've made a conscious effort to invest heavily in qualifying our employees, which gives us with an increasingly clear competitive advantage. Being awarded by VMware once again motivates us to continue defending the top position we've reached in the future," says Roland König.
