In 2020 and 2021, Bechtle paved the way for the DPF Group’s move to the cloud, shifting the organisation away from virtual application servers and a local domain and replacing them with cloud‑based solutions fully integrated with Microsoft 365. This modernised the entire working environment while making the IT landscape far more transparent and easier to manage. But modern IT evolves constantly, and systems need not only to be operated but also continuously monitored, maintained and optimised. With this in mind, the DPF Group chose to enter into a long‑term partnership with Bechtle, which has since taken on full responsibility for its IT operations, ensuring that the Group’s IT runs securely, reliably and in line with modern standards.

Solution.

As a reliable full‑service partner, Bechtle oversees the entire IT environment and acts as the first point of contact for employees when they need support, experience disruptions or have new requirements. An automated ticketing system streamlines processes by creating service tickets as soon as the defined criteria are met, while proactive monitoring, regular updates and continuous vulnerability management keep the IT environment stable. Next‑generation Sophos firewalls protect the DPF Group’s sites, with Microsoft Defender ensuring endpoint security. At the same time, all strategic measures follow Zero‑Trust principles, supported by a clear concept for future locations as well. Bechtle also standardised the entire hardware landscape with the Dell notebooks and PCs as well as iPhones and iPads centrally managed via Microsoft Intune and Datto’s cloud‑based RMM platform. The cloud-based setup is rounded off by a Printix print solution. Monthly meetings help align and prioritise operational topics, while quarterly service reviews provide clarity on budgets, the roadmap and strategic development to ensure that IT operations evolve continuously and that processes and standards are consistently improved. Today, Bechtle supports around 120 workplaces across Germany for the DPF Group, working every day to maintain a modern, secure and resource‑efficient IT landscape that paves the way for continued growth.
