Neckarsulm, Germany, 08 July 2014 – Hyundai has chosen Bechtle Secure Cloudshare (BSC) for file sharing at the Berlin Fan Park. Photos and videos of Germany’s largest public screening event, the World Cup Fan Mile, can be easily and securely shared among offices and partners over the cloud.
With an expected 500,000 visitors, the Hyundai Fan Park in Berlin is slated to be Germany’s largest public screening event. The Fan Mile for the World Cup 2014 stretches 700 metres from the Victory Column to the Brandenburg Gate, where a 60m2 screen will show the big event. Another nine big screens are set up along the Straße des 17. Juni. A secure and stable stream of large data is required to supply both internal Hyundai offices and external agencies with live images and video during World Cup games.
“Implemented by us as a pilot project in Germany, Bechtle’s cloud solution provides the technological flexibility to successfully realise our business goals in real-time at the Hyundai Fan Park Berlin 2014, making the event truly memorable for thousands of passionate and excited football fans,” says Walter Fink, Head of IT Hyundai Motor Germany GmbH.

BSC provides Hyundai with a central platform for highly secure and traceable file sharing. Hosted on customer premises as a virtual appliance or in Bechtle’s data centre in Friedrichshafen, the solution integrates seamlessly with existing business processes. It is also available as an app for iPhone and Android. “That the Bechtle Secure Cloudshare was used at the Hyundai Fan Park is of course very impressive, and it goes to show just how scalable the solution is. Businesses of all sizes can benefit from it, and its user-friendliness makes it popular among employees,” explains Sven Stiefvater of Hosting Services at the Bechtle IT system house in Friedrichshafen.
